# 🚨 EMERGENCY DEMO -- ALL OUT FOR JONÁŠ AND PRISONERS4PALESTINE Czech activist and political prisoner Jonáš Cink has been on hunger strike for 34 days at the Bronzefield prison in the UK. ℹ️ There are currently 7 prisoners on hunger strike at British jails -- all imprisoned due to alleged participation in direct actions for Palestine against israeli weapons manufacturers or the British military. ⛓️ At least 32 political prisoners are held on remand due to alleged pro-Palestinian activism -- many have been held without trial for over a year despite the legal maximum length of remand under British law being 6 months. ❗️ As the United Kingdom continues to violate the rights of the prisoners and refuses to engage with the [\@prisoners4palestine](https://www.instagram.com/prisoners4palestine/) collective that represents them, they felt they had no other option but to launch a rolling, open-ended hunger strike at the beginning of November 2025. ❤️ The hunger strikers -- all previously healthy individuals -- are now feeling the full effects of the past 4+ weeks of refusing food after a media blackout that has lasted for over a month. ❌ We condemn in the strongest terms the United Kingdom's continued complicity and participation in the genocide in Palestine. We condemn the United Kingdom's treatment of the hunger strikers, the denial of a fair trial, and the punitive treatment of political prisoners. 📣 We support the demands of [\@prisoners4palestine](https://www.instagram.com/prisoners4palestine/) and call on all allies to the cause to amplify their message. We call on the Czech government to demand an explanation from the UK Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Matt Field, and on the Czech Ambassador to the UK Václav Bartuška to ensure Jonáš's rights are protected.
